Make a flashcard study app in under a minute
A TAO-1 flashcard app is a working flashcard app built from one plain-English request: you describe what you want, and TAO-1 builds it.
Updated
Tell TAO-1 what you want to learn. It writes the cards for you and builds a study deck that keeps sending missed cards back until every one is known.

What's in a TAO-1 flashcard app?
Cards written for you
Twenty-four Spanish to English cards for a trip, from hola to ¿Habla inglés?, covering greetings, getting around, directions, the hotel, food, money and asking for help. Nouns carry el, la or un, and each card has a topic tag.
Turn, then mark it honestly
Read the Spanish, say the English aloud, then tap the card or press Space to check. Choose I knew it or Review again. Keys 1 and 2 work too.
Missed cards come back
Cards are shuffled each session, and any card marked for review goes back into the round until every card is known.
Progress you can see
Position in the deck, a progress bar and a known and to-review tally, plus deck counters in the top bar.
Session summary
At the end you see rounds, known and sent-back counts, with buttons to review only the missed cards or start the full deck again.
Edit the deck
Add a word from your own phrasebook with an optional topic tag, or remove one. The deck and your progress are saved on this device.
Is a TAO-1 flashcard app right for you?
A good fit if you want a first version live quickly and are happy to edit the details yourself.
Check before you share it: a first version can include placeholder contact details, photos and reviews. Replace them with your own.
How do I make a flashcard app with TAO-1?
1. Say what you want
Type something like "flashcards to learn Spanish vocabulary for travel, with English translations". Name the countries you are visiting or paste your own word list if you want the cards built from it.
2. Watch it build
TAO-1 writes the cards, builds the deck, checks that flipping, marking and adding cards work, and shows you a live preview. This one took 28 seconds.
3. Change it by asking
Ask for changes in plain words ("add ten cards for ordering food", "use Latin American words", "make it a timed quiz"), then publish it to a link you can open on your phone.
What else can I add to my flashcard app?
Add a second deck for ordering at restaurantsShow Latin American words next to the Spain onesAdd a button that reads each Spanish word aloudAdd a timed quiz mode with a score at the endLet me import cards from a spreadsheet
Questions about flashcard apps
Can I use my own word list?
Yes. Paste your list, phrasebook notes or a handout, and ask TAO-1 to turn it into cards. You can also add cards yourself in the app.
Does it remember my progress?
Yes, in the browser on your device. Ask TAO-1 if you want accounts so your progress follows you across devices.
How much does it cost?
New accounts start with $5 of free credit, which is enough to build and change a study deck like this one.
